Welcome

Set in the little village of Penny Bridge, on the outskirts of Ulverston, we were previously known as Greenodd Pre-school. Penny Bridge Nursery is now a privately run, for non-profit nursery and out of school club for children aged 2-11 years old. Our purpose built building offers a perfect early years experience and fun engaging wrap around care for children.

We are open from 7.45am until 6pm (excluding Fridays) all year round. We are regulated and registered by Ofsted.

We offer;

Breakfast club 7.45am - 8.45am (Nursery & PBA pupils)

Nursery/Preschool 8.45am -3.15pm (for all children aged 2 to 5)

After School Club (Mon - Thurs)  3.15pm - 6pm (Nursery & PBA pupils)

Friday After School Club 3:15pm - 5:00pm  (Nursery & PBA pupils)

Holiday Club 7.45am till 6pm (all children welcome, out of term time)

We received an OUTSTANDING from Ofsted in July 2019.

"Children thrive in this greatly nurturing environment where their emotional and physical well-being is at the heart of all practice. Staff are calm, patient and reassuring, firmly establishing positive and secure key-person relationships with children. The learning environment is wonderfully stimulating, particularly outdoors. Staff create vibrant and innovative areas rich in exciting and engaging resources, such as the mud kitchen, science lab and minibeast hut. Children are entirely absorbed in their play and show extremely high levels of motivation to learn and take part."
