Nursery Rhymes

We often have parents asking us about songs we sing at nursery. Below is a list of some nursery rhymes that we sing that might not be well known so you can sing along with your child at home.

Please and Thank You (tune - Frere Jacques)

Please and thank you, please and thank you,

I must say, I must say,

When I ask for something, when I ask for something,

Everyday, everyday.

This is the way we wash our hands (tune - Here we go round the mulberry bush)

This is the way we wash our hands, wash our hands, wash our hands,

This is the way we wash our hands, when it's time for snack.

(shout) AND DON'T FORGET THE SOAP!

Twinkle, Twinkle Traffic Lights (tune - Twinkle Twinkle)

Twinkle, twinkle traffic lights,

down by the station shining bright,

red means stop, green means go, amber means go but very, very slow,

Twinkle, twinkle traffic lights, down by the station shining bright.

Twinkle, Twinkle Chocolate Bar (tune - Twinkle Twinkle)

Twinkle, twinkle chocolate bar,

my daddy drives a rusty car,

start the engine, pull the choke, then drive off in a puff of smoke,

Twinkle, twinkle chocolate bar, my daddy drives a rusty car..
